Lars Sørensen is an apprentice coordinator at SOBY and plays a decisive role in our commitment to shaping and educating the next generation of professionals. He likes to be in contact with people and is happy to see them develop. He is therefore an invaluable resource for both us and the young people looking for an apprenticeship. His role as Apprenticeship Coordinator involves a wide range of tasks, all aimed at supporting apprentices on their journey towards professional competence and personal development.

Good start with a reliable contact person
Lars is often the first person new apprentices meet, and he takes an active role in helping them get started. He provides them with necessary guidance and support, and also creates an environment where they feel welcome and motivated to learn. He acts as a link between SOBY and the apprentices and his presence is essential to ensuring that they get the needed support throughout their training.

Close cooperation with the school
One of Lars' tasks is to follow the apprentices' development closely. He visits them at their educational institutions and is in ongoing dialogue with both the apprentices and their teachers. Together with the teachers, he finds out which tasks the individual apprentice needs to learn more about. In this way, he can help adapt tasks when the apprentice returns from school.

Theory and practice in a comprehensive education course
At SOBY, the apprentices get the opportunity to try the tasks in practice that they must be able to solve in order to be trained. It is a hands-on approach which gives the apprentices the necessary experience and strengthens their self-confidence and sense of mastery. He explains that as an apprentice you are also part of the company's everyday life, and this provides a good dynamic and training in entering a workplace. Lars' ability to support and shape young professionals provides a positive and dynamic learning culture that benefits both SØBY and the young people undergoing training.
