Meet our employees: Rita adds value trough order

At SOBY, every link in the chain has to work seamlessly to ensure that our solutions reach the end users on time and in top quality. Rita Svenningsen is our Technical Assistant and a structured, detail-oriented person with nearly 30 years of experience. She makes sure everything is in perfect order before production can begin.

Final stop before production

Rita has been part of SOBY for just over four years, but she’s worked as a technical assistant for nearly three decades. Before joining SOBY, she worked in the fur industry and later at an iron foundry – a background that has given her a solid eye for both detail and practical solutions.

“I’m often the last link in the process before new machines go into production,” Rita explains. “I create item numbers, compile bills of materials, and review technical drawings – in short: I make sure everything is in order before production begins.”

When order adds value

Rita describes herself as a structured person – and it’s easy to see why that’s an advantage in her role. “I work in a very systematic way, and that’s essential in my job – both when reviewing technical drawings and when updating our large price list with all our products.”

Even though she doesn't have direct contact with customers, her work is crucial to ensuring that both dealers and end users get exactly what they need – and that everything fits together when the machines are put into operation.

Calm, respect, and collaboration

“The best part about working in this team is the calm atmosphere. Everyone does their job, and we help and support each other,” Rita says. “We talk things through and find solutions together – and you really feel like you’re making a difference.”

An important part of a strong team

At SOBY, it’s the cross-functional collaboration that ensures a great result – even if not everyone is visible to the customers. Rita Svenningsen is a clear example of how much structure and experience matter when quality has to be top-notch from the very first sketch to the finished machine.
