At SOBY, we work with ESG, extended producer responsibility and the green transition as a natural part of our responsibility as a manufacturing company. For us, this is about both reducing our own consumption of resources and energy and developing solutions that support a more sustainable agro industry. We have defined three overall themes that together form the foundation of the way we do business:

• Waste sorting and resource management
  SOBY has established an internal environmental station where packaging and residual materials are sorted at the source. This ensures more efficient resource management and supports proper recycling and waste disposal.
  
  
• Extended producer responsibility and packaging
  As a manufacturer, SOBY is subject to the new EU regulations on extended producer responsibility for packaging. Through our membership of VANA, we work with proper registration, reporting and management of our responsibilities related to packaging and waste.

• Traceable waste management
  We work with a dedicated waste management partner who handles the collection, sorting and further processing of our waste. This partnership provides documentation and traceability throughout the entire process – from production to recycling or proper disposal.
  
  
• Continuous reduction of environmental impact
  SOBY continuously works to identify opportunities to reduce resource consumption and minimise the environmental impact of our operations. This includes a focus on waste management, material consumption and the optimisation of internal processes.

• Apprentices and the skilled workforce of the future
  SOBY continuously trains apprentices and actively works to attract new skilled workers to the industry. A dedicated apprenticeship coordinator supports the apprentices throughout their education and ensures close collaboration between the company, the school and the apprentice.
  
  
• Labour market coordinator
  We have a dedicated labour market coordinator who supports new employees with special needs. The goal is to create the right conditions for everyone to become part of the workplace community.
  
  
• Social inclusion and CSR People
  SOBY is a member of CSR Skive and received the CSR People Award in 2025 for its commitment to social responsibility. We create opportunities for people who need special consideration or additional support to gain or maintain a connection to the labour market.

• Responsible corporate governance
  We work to build trust through sound processes, high standards of data security and documented compliance with applicable requirements. At SOBY, we continuously strengthen our governance through certifications, partnerships and internal policies.
