At SOBY, we always work with an eye towards competitiveness – both our own and our dealers’. Therefore, towards 2026, we have looked at the entirety of our role as a partner to create a framework that can accommodate both stricter environmental requirements and the need to stand strong in the market.
From 2026 we have changed our delivery terms to DAP (Delivered At Place) according to Incoterms. This means that SOBY takes responsibility for the transport all the way to the delivery location - including transport insurance.
For our dealers, it provides more predictable delivery and clear responsibility if damage occurs during transport. Receiving inspection and unloading remain the responsibility of the buyer, and collection from warehouse is still possible. At the same time, we are strengthening our customer service and digital tools so that dialogue and ordering become smoother in everyday life.
New EU requirements have been introduced regarding producer responsibility for packaging. This means that as a manufacturer we must ensure correct handling and documentation of waste and residual products.
Therefore, we at SOBY have established our own environmental station, where packaging and residual materials are sorted and handled correctly on-site. To be open about the costs, we have chosen to make part of the expense visible via a separate environmental surcharge per invoice.
For our dealers, this means that they can be part of a value chain where the production link meets the requirements for correct handling and documentation of packaging and residual materials. This provides a more robust basis for your own compliance.
Our focus on the environment and cooperation is primarily about creating a robust and transparent everyday life for our partners. When responsibility for deliveries, environmental management and documentation is clearly placed, it becomes easier for both us and our dealers to focus on what creates value for customers – and stand strong in a market that is always in motion.
